Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Community Outreach and Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to our mission of retaining and expanding student enrollment through strategic partnerships with various organizations and businesses. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong sales, recruiting, and marketing skills, capable of building relationships that drive student enrollment.
Key Responsibilities:
- School Profile Development:
- Build a strong ongoing relationship with the school staff, students, families, and community to develop a clear understanding of our school profile.
- Attend and promote school events that build community and engagement from our families and thus promote “word of mouth” marketing and student retention.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop student retention strategies.
- Engagement and Retention:
- Use family, student, and staff feedback to develop a social engagement plan throughout the school year.
- Build and maintain engagement calendar for face to face and other social events and meetups for iUPrep students throughout the school year
- Lead planning group of 3 major face to face events in high dense population hubs throughout the state
- Build strong relationships with individual families of current and prospective students.
- Partnership Development:
- Identify and establish relationships with potential partner organizations and businesses, such as dance studios, gyms, and other community-based extracurricular entities, to create mutually beneficial partnerships aimed at increasing student enrollment.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and maintain these partnerships, ensuring a continuous pipeline of prospective students.
- Event Representation and Marketing:
- Represent the organization at various events, including homeschool conferences, community fairs, and other relevant gatherings, to promote the school and recruit students.
- Collaborate with the marketing team as well as contracted firms to create and distribute promotional campaign materials that effectively communicate our value proposition.
- Collaborate with the district communications department to share student human interest stories and positive stories to pitch to media contacts.
- Market Research and Outreach:
- Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities for partnership and areas with high enrollment potential.
- Initiate and manage outreach efforts, including cold calling, emailing, and setting up meetings with prospective partners.
- Track and analyze outreach efforts to optimize strategies and improve enrollment numbers.
- Sales and Recruiting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for potential partners
- Achieve enrollment targets by effectively promoting the benefits of our educational programs and addressing any concerns or questions from partners or prospective students.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow up on leads to ensure a seamless enrollment process.
- Travel:
- Travel throughout the state as required to meet with partners, attend events, and conduct outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Knowledge of school district / Campus organization (preferred)
- Proven experience in sales, recruiting, marketing, community relations or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in brand development and management
- Ability to think independently and solve problems
- Ability to efficiently manage time and meet deadlines
- Successful experience working with business, community and public agencies
- Knowledge of establishing and building business /partnership relationships
- Presentation skills including oral presentations and written documents
- Experience in communications and/or related fields
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs and Google suite
- Professional appearance and willingness to attend community events
- Willingness to travel statewide as needed
