Job Title: Technical Support Specialist                         Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

Primary Purpose:

To provide support, repair, and installation of computing devices and related peripherals, audio-visual

equipment, and software.

To provide level one assistance with network issues.

To provide training and mentoring of Campus Technicians.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree, technical degree, or technical training/certification

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of Windows OS

Knowledge of Mac OS

Knowledge of iOS

Experience repairing and troubleshooting printers

Experience supporting and troubleshooting local area networks

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Maintains and supports District computers
  2. Maintains and supports District iOS devices
  3. Maintains and supports printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices
  4. Maintains and supports audio-visual equipment such as projectors and document cameras
  5. Maintains and supports interactive displays
  6. Level 1 support for networking issues
  7. Maintains hardware inventory database in the field
  8. Assists with installation and implementation
  9. Efficiently prioritizes and completes work orders
  10. Maintains technical certifications
  11. Maintain confidentiality on staff and student information.
  12. Regular and consistent attendance.
  13. All other duties as assigned.

 

Equipment Used:

Computers (both Macintosh and Windows) and associated peripherals

IOS devices

Small hand tools
