Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Technology Department
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt/233 days

Primary Purpose:
To provide assistance and support for the Executive Director and Directors of the Technology Department
Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Special Knowledge/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in skills such as Microsoft Office, Windows, Skyward Finance, SchoolDude and Google Suite
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate in written and oral form
- Understanding of budgeting and general purchasing procedures and bid procedures
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as a team member and independently
- Quality organizational skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Budget
- Maintain budgets for Instructional Technology and Data Services
- Obtain technology equipment quotes and distribute as needed throughout the District
- Attend budget meetings
Purchasing
- Assist in technology grant purchases and record keeping
- Purchase hardware and technology peripherals with general operating funds
- Purchase software with general operating funds
- Purchase general operating needs for Technology Services
- Work with purchasing department with vendor issues
- Assist campuses and departments with purchasing needs and quotes
- Purchase and process all Instructional Technology Budget request
- Maintain accurate records for all purchases made
Vendors
- Meet with vendors and maintain excellent working relationships ensuring good customer service
- Coordinate vendor schedules for product presentation and training
Support and Training
- Coordinate training and travel for Technology Services
- Assist and communicate with all the Technology Services staff.
- Provide support as appropriate for projects such as staff development, Parent Technology Academy, Student Technician program, Student Interns and Tech Committee, etc.
- Assist Executive Director and Directors with calendar schedule, appointments and call screening.
- Arrange, coordinate and attend departmental meetings and disseminate information to the department.
- Maintain department files
- Provide support for special projects as appropriate
- Attend training and stay current on district core software and hardware, including Skyward
- Maintain confidentiality
- Participate in meetings and trainings as designed by District staff
- Regular and consistent attendance
- All other duties as assigned
