Job Title: Instructional Technology Intern Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

Primary Purpose:
To serve as an extension of the instructional technology team. The interns will create help documents and screencasts for teacher and student use and assist with the technology-specific needs of new hire orientation, including issuing devices and teaching new hires about GCISD’s abundant technology resources.
Qualifications:
Be at least 16 years of age
Have a genuine interest in technology
Regular and consistent attendance. Report to work promptly.
Be dependable, courteous, and neat. Have good communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.
Initiative and problem solving skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create help documents and screencasts for teacher and student use.
- Assist with the technology-specific needs of new hire orientation.
- Collaborate with district technology & instructional technology staff.
- Provide on-demand online resources to enable teachers to facilitate student use of the latest technology.
- Supplement the work of instructional technology and technology services.
- Be friendly and helpful to all fellow employees in the performance of duties.
- Maintain an acceptable appearance at all times, with regard to both uniform and personal hygiene. Will have a whistle and first aid hip-pack with them at all times while on duty.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; have dexterity of hands and fingers for keyboarding and other job functions; able to bend at the waist, kneel or crouch; able to lift, carry, push and/or pull items of up to 50lbs. |
