Job Title:  Dream Camp Summer School Assistant Principal         Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

Primary Purpose:

Assist principal with the direction and management of the instructional program and assist with the supervision of operations and personnel of the elementary summer school program.  Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all program activities.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: 

• Master’s degree in educational administration, instruction, or related field
• Texas principal or other appropriate Texas administrative certificate
• Certified T-TESS appraiser preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Elementary school experience preferred
• Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
• Ability to manage budget and personnel
• Ability to coordinate program functions
• Ability to implement policy and procedures
• Ability to interpret data
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

AP Principal Duties:

• Assist with hiring current summer school staff 
• Assist with design program of studies for all six weeks of the program
• Assist with scheduling classes and room assignments
• Assist with attendance updates for staff and monitoring
• Ensure student safety at all times
• Interact positively with all parents and staff
• Respond promptly with solutions when problems arise
• Other duties as assigned

Assistant Principal:

$8500 Stipend

May 31st - July 1st (Approximante Dates)
