Job Title: Summer Enrichment Principal Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

Primary Purpose:
Oversee the direction and management of the instructional program and the supervision of operations and personnel of the summer enrichment program. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all program activities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Master’s degree in educational administration, instruction, or related field
- Texas principal or other appropriate Texas administrative certificate
- Certified T-TESS appraiser preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Ability to coordinate program functions
- Ability to implement policy and procedures
- Ability to interpret data
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Principal Duties:
- Hire current summer enrichment staff
- Design program of studies for all five weeks of the program
- Schedule classes and room assignments
- Communicate expectations and design Summer Enrichment Handbook for teachers
- Provide weekly attendance updates for staff
- Monitor attendance
- Monitor accounts payable and contact delinquent accounts
- Manage Summer Enrichment budget
- Ensure student safety at all times
- Interact positively with all parents and staff
- Respond promptly with solutions when problems arise
- Adhere to requirements of Child Care licensing process

June 1, 2021 - July 2, 2021- Instruction days - *Subject to changes per COVID-19 guidance.
7:30-4:30 daily ***Hours may change given further COVID-19 guidance.
