Primary Purpose
The primary purpose is to perform general bookkeeping and maintain campus financial records, including campus activity fund.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
One year accounting or bookkeeping experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
Proficient computer skills, including demonstrated ability to develop spreadsheets and databases
Proficient word processing, keyboarding, 10-key, and file maintenance skills
Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of District organization and operations
Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines
Ability to operate office equipment
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain complete and systematic records of campus financial transactions according to established procedures and generally acceptable accounting principles.
- Process and account for all money generated and distributed in school sponsored activities, including receipt of cash and preparing and making cash deposits.
- Prepare monthly and other periodic campus financial reports.
- Assist with campus budget preparation, including budget monitoring and data entry.
- Maintain physical and computerized files and records, including all purchases, deposits, and expenditures incurred by the campus from general operating, student activity, and student fee accounts.
- Process all purchase orders, ensuring purchase orders are in compliance with bid and board purchasing policies, and verifying fund availability. Receive on purchase orders and assist with resolving any discrepancies.
- Manage petty cash account in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepare and send invoices as required.
- Participate in meetings/training sessions as designed by campus or district staff.
- Assist in campus duty assignments as required.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- All other duties as assigned.
