Job Title: After School Aide (Kidzu) Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Assistant Coordinator-KidzU Pay Grade: IS201
Dept./School: Extended Care Services Date Revised: 5/2018
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for assisting the Site Coordinator in implementation of the extended care program’s daily activities at their individual site; supervision of the children in the program; and the communication with students, staff members, and parents.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Some college preferred, but not required
Education or Early Childhood experience preferred
Special Knowledge /Skills:
Ability to work well with children
Effective communication skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Supervise children at the program
- Provide a fun, safe, and positive environment
- Communicate with staff, students and parents
- Follow security measures in place to maintain the safety of the children
- Assist in implementing the program’s daily activities
- Help to keep a clean and orderly program.
- Prepare and serve snacks
Professional growth and Development
- Develop professional skills and knowledge appropriate to the job assignment
- Participate in staff development by attending staff meetings as assigned
- All other duties as assigned
